CHP Finds Bicyclist Was Intoxicated: Not Hit By Vehicle
Mokelumne Hill, Ca -- Shortly after three o´clock this afternoon, the CHP received a report of a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist on Hwy 26 in Mokelumne Hill.
CHP Officer Jaimie Castillo says that when law enforcement arrived on scene they found that the accident was caused by the rider´s intoxication, rather than another vehicle.
The bicyclist has been airlifted to a hospital in Modesto, and Castillo says a complaint will be filed with the District Attorney´s Office. Castillo says the name of the bicyclist will not be released until Friday morning.
