Burson Woman Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter
San Andreas, Ca -- Janet Peggy Casey of Burson was found guilty Friday of killing her husband with a revolver back in August of 2005.
According to the Stockton Record, Judge John E. Martin said that Casey was armed with a pistol when 75-year old Frank Casey was shot in the couple´s home. The wife was originally charged with First Degree Murder when she was booked in Calaveras County Jail three years ago, but the charges were lessoned when it was learned that she was intoxicated the night of the killing. Sentencing is scheduled for August 15th.
