Arbor Day Foundation Recognizes Sonora
Sonora, CA - Sonora is a "Tree City U.S.A."
The city has received the designation for the 15th year from the non-profit Arbor Day Foundation.
Sonora has met the four standards to become a Tree City U.S.A. community. The City has an Arborist on staff, a tree care ordinance, comprehensive community forestry program and observes Arbor Day with a proclamation.
Arbor Day Foundation founder John Rosenow states, "We commend Sonora's elected officials, volunteers and its citizens for providing vital care for its urban forest."
