Sierra Nevada Winter Storm Warning Issued
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Sierra Nevada from 10am Friday through 6am Saturday.
Snow accumulations of a couple of inches are expected at 3000 feet. Ten inches to a foot of snow will fall from 5000 to 6000 feet. More than a foot of snow is possible above 7000 feet.
Some snow may fall as low as 2000 feet late tonight but little accumulation is expected at that level.
Winds of 30 MPH should be expected with gusts from 45 to 55 MPH over the higher elevations.
Light snow will continue at times through Saturday afternoon.
