MADD Recognizes Area Deputies
Sonora, CA - A group of Mother Lode law enforcement officials were recognized this week for cracking down on DUI drivers.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) invited 80 regional peace officers to a ceremony in Ripon to thank them for their efforts in enforcing D.U.I. laws.
Deputy Jeff Gempler was recognized for issuing the most D.U.I. citations last year in Tuolumne County.
From Calaveras County, awards were given to both Deputy Josh Shemenski and Deputy Scott Kirkman from the Sheriff's Department.
The trio received pins to wear on their uniforms commemorating the achievement.
