Sonora, CA — Tuolumne CAO Craig Pedro issued this statement regarding the charges brought forth against Thomas Jefferson Fraser IV Monday.
“Tuolumne County takes seriously and does not condone the activity alleged of Mr. Tom Fraser. Such activity and behavior is contrary to the Board of Supervisors and my expectation that employees model exemplary ethics and professionalism in the conduct of their work on behalf of the people of Tuolumne County.”
The county has been coordinating action with the District Attorney (Donald Segerstrom) and will not comment further on the criminal charges brought forth by the District Attorney against Mr. Fraser.
The county is conducting its own internal investigation into this matter. Mr. Fraser has been placed on administrative leave pending completion of the county´s investigation. The county´s policy is not to comment on personnel matters and will therefore not comment in the future on the progress or outcome of this matter.
The public should be assured that any wrong-doing or inappropriate activities will be addressed in a fair and appropriate manner consistent with applicable laws and county personnel rules and in proportion to any individual´s involvement.”
