California Healthcare Debate
Sacramento, CA -- The California Senate has approved the creation of a single-payer healthcare system at the state level, similar to what the Obama Administration is pushing for in Washington, DC.
Democrats passed the plan on a 22-14 party-line vote, and it now goes to the Assembly.
Governor Schwarzenegger has indicated that he will veto the bill if it reaches his desk.
