8,000 Still In The Dark

Stockton, CA -- A little more than 8,000 P.G.& E. Mother Lode customers remain in the dark this morning.

According to Public Information Officer Nicole Liebelt 7,330 customers in Tuolumne and eastern Stanislaus counties are still without power.

Groveland is the hardest hit with 4,020 current outages. Due to those outages Tenaya Elementary and Tioga High School are closed for the day.

Other Tuolumne/Stanislaus County outage numbers (7,330) include Sonora (1,045), Jamestown (170), Twain Harte (135), MiWuk (455) and Pinecrest (560).

In Amador and Calaveras counties there are a reported 700 outages. Specific areas include Plymouth (335), Arnold (65) and Angels Camp, Copperopolis and Burson one outage each.

No time of restoration for the remaining outages has been announced by P.G.& E.
