Early Morning Structure Fire On Phoenix Lake Rd.
Sonora, CA -- An early morning structure fire caused an undetermined amount of damage to a residence at 21849 Phoenix Lake Rd.
According to CAL Fire Communications Operator Maryjo Boone at the San Andreas Emergency Command Center, the alarm was sounded at 1:10am.
The fire was caused by ashes that had been placed in a bucket and left near the residence.
Response included resources from Mono Village Station 51, Mono Vista Station #56, three water tenders from Tuolumne County Fire Department, Crystal Falls Station #57, Cedar Ridge Station #58, MiWuk Station #77, Columbia College Breathing Support Unit and three CAL Fire engines.
Even though the homeowner extinguished the fire response units remained on scene until 2:36am.
Estimated dollar damage amounts to $2,000 to the structure and $1,000 for tools and equipment that were near the fire area.
