West Point Woman Rescued Following Collision
West Point, CA -- A Calaveras County woman drove off the road and collided with a tree at 8:30 pm Wednesday, and waited in her truck until 5:45 am Thursday when she was discovered by a nearby homeowner.
The CHP says 56-year-old Kathy Wark of West Point drove off Skull Flat Rd. while trying to avoid a deer, and because the vehicle was in an unsafe location she was unable to exit the vehicle on her own.
When officials arrived Thursday morning, she was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital to treat minor injuries.
