Calaveras County Water Shutdown Scheduled

San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras Public Utility District has scheduled an interruption in water service for a number of communities Tuesday, December 1.

According to C.P.U.D. Manager John Ornellas, crews will be repairing a water main between San Andreas and Mokelumne Hill from 8am to 5pm.

Affected areas include Hwy 49 from Sport Hill Rd. in Mokelumne Hill south including Golden Hills subdivision, River Ranch Rd., Spring Hills subdivision, Beverlynn Lane, Vista Verde Rd., Burns Rd., Goldstrike Heights subdivision and Goldstrike Rd. to 439 Goldstrike Rd. (the back entrance to Calaveras High School). The high school will not be without water.

Customers are asked to prepare in advance by filling containers with water, having bottled water on hand or filling a bathtub to provide water for toilet flushing.
