Prep Football Playoffs Open This Evening

Sonora, CA -- The prep football playoffs will open this evening for Summerville, Sonora and Calaveras high schools.
9-1 Summerville (#3 seed) will host the only team to defeat the Bears this year, 7-3 Ripon (#6 seed). The Indians downed the Bears in the second week of the season 32-23. The 93.5 KKBN pregame show will get underway at 6:45 with Guy Dossi handling the play-by-play.
8-2 Sonora (#4 seed) will host 7-3 Whitney (#5 seed). Sonora High is coming off that disappointing regular season ending loss to Oakdale. Sonora lost at Whitney in the opening round of the playoffs two years ago. The STAR 92.7 pregame show will start at 6:45. Justin Flores is the "Voice of the Wildcats."
Also in the playoffs; Calaveras (#7 seed). The 6-4 Redskins will travel to 9-1 Dixon (#2 seed).
