DUI Blamed For HWY 108 Crash

Twain Harte, CA — A Sonora man was arrested for drunk driving after a solo rollover crash in Tuolumne County. It happened yesterday just before 9a.m. on Highway 108 and the Twain Harte Grade. The CHP reports 33 year old Jeffery Faught was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry eastbound on Highway 108 at a about 75 mph . He went off the roadway and smashed into a tree. Then the car went airborne, sailing into the westbound lane and rolled over ended up on its roof blocking traffic.

Faught suffered multiple abrasions and was taken to Memorial hospital in Modesto. The westbound lane of Highway 108 was down to one lane for about a half an hour as crews cleaned the debris.
