Investigation Launched Into Columbia Death
Columbia, CA -- Law enforcement is investigating whether there was any foul play related to the death of a Columbia man on Tuesday.
Lt. Ken Diaz with the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office says a male subject was found unresponsive on the floor of a Columbia residence around 4:30pm. The Sheriff's Office was notified of the death via a 911 call.
The investigation is being carried out by the California Department of Justice and the Sheriff's Office. No additional information is being released by law enforcement at this time. Officials are still in the process of notifying family members of the deceased man. An autopsy is pending.
