Sacramento, CA -- Railtown 1897 in Jamestown will be closed on Mondays as part of a cost savings plan announced by the state Tuesday.

Railtown will only be open six days a week beginning November 1st. It follows the Governor cutting $14.2 million from the budget allocation to California State Parks before signing the most recent budget.

No changes were announced for Calaveras Big Trees State Park or Columbia State Historic Park.
