CHP Corrects Pool Station Rd. Accident Report

San Andreas, CA -- After further investigation the CHP has corrected its original accident report regarding a motorcycle-vehicle accident late Sunday morning on Pool Station Rd. south of George Reed Rd.

The original report placed the cause of the accident on 50 year old Robert George Hinkle of Lodi. He was riding his 1998 Honda SuperHawk northbound when he collided with a southbound 1999 Dodge Dakota driven by 18 year old Joseph Bedford of Copperopolis.  According to the original report, "For unknown reasons Mr. Hinkle drifted across the solid double yellow lines and into the southbound lane of travel."

The updated report states, "For unknown reasons one of the parties crossed over the double yellow lines and caused the two to collide."

Hinkle was life-flighted to Modesto Memorial Hospital for treatment of major leg injuries. Bedford was not injured.
