Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — A Jamestown father accused of killing his three month old daughter pled not guilty in a Tuolumne County Superior Court. 26 year old Kevin Michael Boehmer was charged with assault on a child under eight resulting in death at a re-arraignment hearing on Monday. Boehmer’s four-day jury trial is set for July 10th.

In December, Boehmer pled not guilty to assault on a child under the age of 8 resulting in coma/brain damage charges. The little girl, Kalie Boehmer, was taken off life support on December 11th at Oakland Children’s Hospital and pronounced dead. This January, Tuolumne County’s District Attorney asked for a motion hearing to amend those charges to homicide. At that time a judge approved that motion and also increasing Boehmer’s bail from $200,000 to a million dollars.

If convicted Boehmer faces a maximum sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
