San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County supervisors will close out their October meetings today with a number of items on the agenda.

At 9:30 four public hearings are scheduled regarding the Department of Agriculture and planning preserves.

At 10:30 Administration, technology services, planning and board matters are on the schedule. One of those matters is a concern by many of General Service plans to remove a redwood tree to make way for a parking lot at the new CAL Fire Altaville station. Today there will be discussion and possible action regarding sending a letter to Governor Schwarzenegger asking that the tree be saved.
