T.C. Sheriff's Office Assists Bay Area Police In Arrest
Sonora, CA -- Saturday evening deputies from the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office assisted El Cerrito police in arresting a rape and kidnapping suspect from the Bay Area.
At 10:10 Saturday evening Sheriff's deputies joined El Cerrito police in serving a warrant for 29 year old Rito Eduardo Rodriguez in Columbia. The El Cerrito resident was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
El Cerrito police were able to track Rodriguez to Columbia via a cell phone trace.
