Motherlode Wind Advisory In Effect For Tuesday
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Motherlode, effective from 8am to 11pm Tuesday.
Winds of 20 to 30 mph should be expected with gusts up to 50 mph. Winds will pick up again on Wednesday but will not be as strong as Tuesday.
Highs in the Motherlode will be no more than the low to mid 60's both Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight temperatures by Wednesday morning, could fall to the mid 30's.
All local mountain passes remain open today, but you are encouraged to carry chains whenever you drive into the high country. Wind chills will be very cold.
