Spring Events On The First Of March

A new month has arrived and it is already full of community, club, and charitable events.

Tonight at 7:00pm is the first performance at the Theater at Summerville High School of “Making It!”. The play is the story of a performing arts high school staging a production of Romeo and Juliet. Other Friday events include a Book and Bake Sale at Curtis Creek, Murphys Big Band Night, Bingo and Dance Club meeting all listed on Friday here.

On Saturday the Tuolumne County Master Gardeners will host an Open Garden Day. Jack Bennett will talk about Grape Pruning, Lisa Page will talk about Spring Garden and Seed Starting and Becky Miller-Cripps and Al Dahlstrand will speak about water conservation. If you have your own kayak you may going a three hour ranger-led paddling tour. The Winter Wonderland Kayak trip begins at Carson Creek in the Glory Hole Recreation Area and required preregistration. The contact information is in the event listing here.

Senior Center Bingo will be held on Saturday in Sonora in the building next to the library. It provides 13 games and a deli-style lunch for those over 21 starting at 11:30am. The event supports the Senior Center Lunch Program, for more information view the Senior Center Bingo listing here.
