CAL Fire Sends Additional Resources To Loma Fire
San Andreas, CA -- In addition to one helicopter and a dozer sent Sunday, the CAL Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit has now sent additional resources to fight the Loma Fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
According to Communications Operator Jim DeVoll the unit has sent one strike team of engines (5), four strike teams of crews (8), one dozer and copter 902 to the 600 acre blaze.
The fire has destroyed one trailer and two outbuildings. It is currently listed as 20 percent contained. Close to a thousand firefighters are on site.
The fire was reported at 3am Sunday.
