A rather small weather system is bringing new snow to the Sierra Nevada and has temporarily closed all of the local mountain passes.

Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) is now closed at Crane Flat. Highway 4 (Ebbetts Pass) is closed near the Mt. Reba turnoff. Highway 108 (Sonora Pass) is closed at Kennedy Meadows. In addition to the passes Glacier Point Rd. at Yosemite is also closed due to snow and ice.

The system is forecast to end this evening. Snow levels are generally around 6000 feet.

One or two inches of snow is possible above 6000 feet. A few inches of snow is possible above 7000 feet.

Gusty winds are expected during this time.
