A rather small weather system could bring new snow to the Sierra Nevada which could temporarily close the local mountain passes.

The system is forecast to move through the area on Monday, bringing with it several inches of snow to the mountains.

Snow levels are expected to be at 7500 feet.

Gusty winds are expected during this time.

Currently all of the local mountain pass routes are open with no chain controls including highways 108, 4, 120 and 88.
