San Andreas, CA -- According to the National Weather Service Mother Nature could dump between three to five inches of liquid sunshine in the foothills starting Tuesday.

In Calaveras County there is always a concern about flooding in the Valley Springs area at Cosgrove Creek and at Murphys Creek.

According to Capt. Clay Hawkins of the Sheriff's Department (Special Operations) a close eye will be kept on those two locations by deputies. Hawkins adds that the department always has a supply of sand bags on hand for such occasions.

Along with the rain plenty of wind is expected with this storm which is expected to hit in the afternoon hours.
