Mop Up Operation Underway At Ponderosa Fire
San Andreas, CA -- Resources have been reduced as the Ponderosa Fire is now in the mop up stage in the Mountain Ranch area of Calaveras County.
CAL Fire Fire Information Officer Lisa Williams reports resources have been reduced to five engines, one local government water tender, one dozer, two hand crews and one prevention officer. Tankers and two helicopters were used earlier in the day.
The fire was contained at 2:51 after burning one acre. Control was gained at 6:39pm.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
