Golf Club Causes Mountain Springs Fire
Sonora, CA -- A golf club striking a rock this morning at approximately 11:30 caused a spark that ignited a four acre fire at the Mountain Springs Golf Club.
CAL Fire Communications Operator Jim DeVoll confirms that all aircraft from the Columbia Air Base, six CAL Fire engines, two engines from the Stanislaus National Forest, one Sonora City Fire engine along with an engine and a water tender from Tuolumne County Fire Department responded to the fire.
The fire was controlled at 2:42. No injuries were reported.
