Sonora, CA -- 31 homeless military Veterans were able to get a warm meal and learn about entitled benefits at the second annual Stand Down at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
The three day event wrapped up Saturday. Coordinator Frank Smart says this year's Stand Down saw nearly three times as many participants than 2008.
The Veterans were also offered haircuts, dental and eye exams. 19 pairs of prescription glasses were given away this year.
