Some Roads Remain Closed Into Yosemite
Yosemite, CA -- The Big Meadow Fire in Yosemite National Park has increased in size to 7,425 acres and is 86 percent contained.
Yosemite officials are still encouraging visitors to make a trip to the park this Labor Day weekend.
"Please come and visit us," says Park Ranger Kari Cobb. "You may just have to take an alternate route because the Big Oak Flat Rd. into the park and the west end of Tioga Rd. are closed to traffic."
Yosemite Valley is open and accessible from Highway 140 via El Portal and Highway 41 from Wawona.
