Caltrans Plans For The Week

Sonora, CA – Another week of heavily scheduled Caltrans work kicked off Sunday evening as more overnight crews hit the road.

Several striping projects continue in the overnights, beginning Sunday night and lasting through Friday morning. On Highway 12, operations between the Calaveras/San Joaquin County line and Highway 49 may cause ten-minute delays from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Similar work is slated during the same times and dates between Cedar Street and Lime Creek Road.

Look for more related work on Highway 26 between Shelton Road and Highway 49/Mokelumne Hill. Same deal on Highway 49, beginning nightly at 8 p.m. between the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line and Frogtown Road; and between Pool Station Road and the Calaveras/Amador County line, all under a moving closure.

Calaveras Day Crew Work

During the weekdays along Highway 49, between the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line and Frogtown Road, more ten- minute delays are anticipated as pavement work is underway from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Utility repairs are also planned weekdays between Mountain Ranch Road and California Street until 4 p.m. that may bring slight delays.

Along Highway 4, daily core drilling between a mile east of Upper Moran Road and the Big Trees Park entrance is likely to generate ten-minute delays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, along Highway 26 every weekday, between Silver Rapids and Quail Oaks roads from 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., shoulder utility work will be in place but is not likely to delay motorists.

Tuolumne County Cone Zones

In Tuolumne County, along Highway 49, utility work on Tuesday between Moccasin Creek and Marsh Flat Road from 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. may cause brief traffic interruptions.

On Highway 108, every weekday, crack seal work between Standard and North Sunshine roads may create ten-minute delays from 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, bridge work continues on the shoulder at Mono Way from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., which is anticipated to create similar impacts. Monday through Thursday, grinding and paving between Heliport Road and the Cold Springs subdivision will run from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Highway 120, maintenance operations Monday through Thursday is scheduled between Lent Ranch and Grizzley roads under a moving closure from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., likely to cause five-minute delays.
