Forest Officials Seeking Your Input
Stanislaus National Forest
Sonora, CA -- Forest officials want off-road vehicle enthusiasts opinions.
The Stanislaus National is seeking public input on the preliminary 2015 Off-Highway Vehicle plan regarding state funding of trails and forest facility maintenance. That will include repairs to the Hull Creek Campground, and the Crandall and Niagara trails. It would also pay for new signage, barrier placements, routine law enforcement patrols, and visitor education.
There are two projects in the proposal encompassing routes on all four ranger districts in Tuolumne, Calaveras, Alpine and Mariposa Counties.
The public comment period begins March 4, 2014 and ends April 7, 2014. You can view the proposal and make comments during that time by clicking here. You can also call (209) 586-3234 ext. 635 to voice your opinion or get more information.
