Man Beaten With Baton

Sierra Village, CA -- A Sierra Village man was arrested for attempted murder after he alledgedly bludgeoned a neighbor. The incident happened yesterday at the Sierra Village Mobile Park at 9:40 p.m.
Tuolumne County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a person with head injuries. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the 46-year-old victim suffering from cuts to the back of his head, bruising to his shoulder, and a cut on his elbow. The man also complained of upper body and neck pain.
Deputies interviewed the victim who stated he was asleep in his motor home when he heard the front door open. Then he saw 54-year-old Lindon Martin Hill enter the trailer carrying a "pipe". The victim says Hill attacked him with the pipe, hitting him repeatedly in the head and upper body. The victim was able to get to his feet and Hill ran from the motor home.
Deputies found Hill in the mobile home park. During a search of his trailer, deputies discovered an expandable police type baton. Investigators report the victim and Hill had recently had a dispute over a broken window.
Hill was arrested for attempted murder and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail. He faces attempted murder and weapons charges. His bail was set at $500,000.
The victim was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center for initial treatment for his injuries. He was then transferred to a trauma center due to the severity of his injuries.
