Gates Open For 2013 Mother Lode Fair
Mother Lode Fair Carnival
Things are running smoothly on the first day of the Mother Lode Fair. Visitors began streaming in the gates right at 4:00pm, July 7. The Fair will be open till midnight and also on Friday from 4 p.m. through midnight, 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Musical entertainment at the fair includes Elvin Bishop, The Little Band with Keith Little, Wingnut Adams and Skynnyn Lynnyrd. The music stage is in a shaded part of the lawn to help the audience keep cool. The grandstand arena will feature truck and tractor-pulls on Thursday and Friday, Freestyle Moto X on Saturday and the popular Destruction Derby on Sunday. There is no separate admission charge for these events.
Fairgoers will find plenty of food, exhibition booths and rides as seen in the photos. There are lots of animals including the Junior livestock auction on Saturday at 5pm.
A free shuttle service will be provided from the Wal-Mart parking lot for all four days of the fair. The shuttles are highly recommended as local traffic near the fairgrounds will be busy throughout the weekend.
