Sonora, CA -- The average price of a gallon of gas increased in California, but fell nationwide.
The Lundberg Survey of Fuel Prices released this morning puts the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in the state at $4.01, and increase of nine cents over the past two weeks. The price hike is attributed to a rise in local wholesale prices as a result of some state refinery issues.
Nationally, the average price of regular unleaded fell four cents over the past two weeks to $3.60.
The myMotherLode.com gas price section shows the price of regular unleaded anywhere from 3.74 to 4.03 at stations in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties. Among large cities in California, Los Angeles is the highest average at $4.07, and Sacramento is the lowest at $3.85.
