Motorist Alert For Highway 108 Bypass
End Of Highway 108 Bypass As Peaceful Oak Drive
Sonora, CA -- A stretch of Peaceful Oaks Road will be closed Monday afternoon. Caltrans reports that Peaceful Oaks Road will be shut down at Highway 108 for blasting away rocks. The closure is scheduled from 4pm until 5pm. Caltrans reports motorists can expect 10 minute delays. They are asking motorists to choose an alternative route whenever possible. Also, crews will be doing road work all this week on the bypass from Hess Avenue to Standard Road/Mono Way near Cavalieri Road. That stretch of roadway will be closed for construction starting Monday, June 24 and running through Friday, June 28. The road work will be done each day from 7am to 7pm. Motorists can expect 5 minute delays. A signed detour is in place. Caltrans advised motorists to take Mono Way to Hess Avenue. Click here to view a map of the construction area.
Also in Sonora, Caltrans will be directing one-way traffic on Highway 108 from Woods Creek Bridge to Lime Kiln Road as crews will be paving that stretch on Wednesday, June 26 from 9am until 1pm. Motorists can expect 20 minute delays here.
