Sonora’s Own Design Star
HGTV-STAR & Sonora resident, Jeribai-Tascoe
Sonora, CA -- Sonora resident, 33 year-old Jeribai Tascoe, is one of ten finalists competing to be HGTV's next star. The show is titled "Design Star" and Tascoe not only has to show his skills in designing all types of rooms, but also his on camera star quality.
There are seven episodes and on each one Tascoe must avoid being kicked off the show. He has a background in interior, product, graphic and web design. So how did he get picked to be on the show?
Tascoe says, "My wife and got into rehabbing properties over the past several years. We took photos and sent them into HGTV. They loved them and they like me,so they brought me on the show. That's the story."
Tascoe was flown to Los Angeles and put up in a hotel while the show was being videotaped. He says it did not bother him being in front of the cameras.
"I wasn't really nervous about camera stuff because I'm use to performing, being a musician. It was more the competence, the level of talent and expertise of the other candidates. That was intimidating." says Tascoe.
So did he win? You'll have to tune into the show which airs Sunday, June 9th on HGTV at 5pm to find out. Tascoe can't reveal how he did due to contractual agreements.
