Jamestown Drugs And Firearms Bust

Jamestown, CA — Three people were arrested after drugs and loaded guns were found inside a vehicle in Jamestown.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 10pm yesterday after someone spotted a person appearing to be loading a firearm in the Chicken Ranch Casino parking lot. Deputies responded and spoke with three suspects, and searched their vehicle. Inside were two loaded firearms, one of which had been stolen out of Ceres, and 1.6 grams of methamphetamine. Arrested were 33-year-old transient Tonya Slate, 24-year-old Jacinto Medina-Palacios of Modesto, and 32-year-old Jose Hernandez-Ramirez who resides in Turlock.

Slate was only charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Medina-Palacios was charged with possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a controlled substance, and Hernandez-Ramirez was cited with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a concealed weapon, and illegal entry into the U.S.

Medina-Palacios and Hernandez-Ramirez remain in jail custody, and Slate was released.
