Sonora, CA — Caltrans says whether motorists will be able to travel Highway 108 Sonora Pass this weekend depends on the weather. Sonora Pass has been closed since Monday due to spring storms.
Caltrans Spokesperson Angela DaPrato says, “Crews are monitoring the pass. They actually went up there and it looks like there is a lot of debris that they are going to have to clear once the weather improves. It’s dependent upon the weather and tonight’s high elevation storm. However, if it is a light snow then we should have the pass opened for people this weekend.”
Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 120 Tioga pass were opened on Wednesday, as crews were able to clear debris and snow quickly from those roadways according to DaPrato.
