County Poised For Economic Growth?
Sonora, CA -- The Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority is looking at innovative ways to help grow the local economy.
EDA Director Larry Cope will be the guest on Mother Lode Views this weekend. The past four years have been spent primarily on business retention, and the focus is now starting to turn more towards business attraction. Hear about what "makers" are, and why Cope thinks they are important to the future of the county. Also, learn about efforts to create an "Angel and Venture Capital Fund", and how it could benefit the local economy.
Cope will also be asked about whether we can soon expect new tenants at some of the open commercial buildings in the county, such as the former Sonora Carpet Mart, Denny's and the Fashion Bug.
Mother Lode Views airs Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30 on AM-1450 KVML. Mother Lode Views can also be heard Sunday morning at 10 o'clock on 93.5 KKBN and at 9am on STAR 92.7.
