According to the National Weather Service, cool and wet weather is expected in the Mother Lode this Easter weekend.
A weak disturbance ahead of the slow moving pacific storm will bring generally light showers Thursday and Friday.
The main low pressure center will move inland over the weekend and exit early next week.
Up to a third of an inch of rain is expected in the central valley. Two to six inches of snow accumulation is likely in the Sierra Nevada above 6500 feet.
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are also a possibility this weekend.
