Angels Camp, CA -- Reggie Jackson, a American former baseball right fielder will be suiting up for a community fund raiser in memory of Alex and Macaila Marshall who were killed by their father.

Bret Harte will host "Play it Forward" a baseball event and game with Argonaut on Wednesday, March 20, in Angel's Camp. Reggie Jackson, a longtime friend of Alex's and Macaila's Mother, Seanie Marshall, will wear Alex's #15 jersey. Bret Harte ASB student activities director and varsity head coach, Zach Abernathy, says; "Seanie's goal is to bring the community together in kinda an old school baseball theme and raise money for Bret Hart programs."

The event starts at 3:00pm, Jackson memorabilia will be available, Jackson will be in the dugout, the game starts at 4:00pm. There will also be a raffle, auction, music and food. There will be extra seating and even a batting cage and radar gun for little league kids. Abernathy says students can attend for free, there will be a $5 charge for the event.

Alex Marshall, 17, and his sister, Macaila Marshall, 14, both attended Bret Harte High School. Friend of the family, Tasha Unninayar says "It took 48 hours for Seanie to get back from Turkey and in those 48 hour the community pulled together and did everything for her.  The incredibly beautiful memorial, services, candle light vigil." She noted that Seanie is doing this out of appreciation for the overwhelming support that was felt from the community after the deaths of her two children, "It was really something that touched her deeply."

All the money raised will be donated to the community. Unninayar says the money will go to the Bret Harte High school, a scholarship fund, and the community.

A news story about the funeral for the teens "Mourners Bid Farewell" is here.
