Sonora, CA -- A Sonora man hitches up a trailer and drives off. The only problem, it's not his trailer. It happened Wednesday just before 2p.m. at a home on the 100 block of Linoberg. The home owner called police says someone had just driven off with his trailer.
The home owner gave a description of the vehicle and an officer nearby spotted the 2006 Chevy Tahoe truck pulling the trailer. The Officer stopped the truck and recognized the driver as 35 yea r old Danny McLaughlin of Sonora. A background check revealed he had three active drugs related "No Bail" warrants for his arrest.
McLaughlin was arrested without incident and charged with felony vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools. The trailer was returned to the victim.
