California Lawmakers Gaining Popularity?
Sacramento, CA -- A new Field Poll shows that the California legislature is gaining in popularity, but a majority of voters still disapprove of the overall job performance.
The poll finds that 36% of California voters are pleased with the efforts of the state Assembly and Senate. While still low, it is much higher than the 19% approval rating the legislature had in May of 2012.
Meanwhile, the same poll found that Governor Jerry Brown's approval rating has jumped to 57%. During the last poll, in October of 2012, Brown was at 46%. A Field Poll conducted in March of 2011 showed that he had 48% approval.
The most recent statewide poll was conducted earlier this month.
