Presidents' Day Weekend Events

Several events are happening in the Mother Lode this Presidents Day Weekend.

Sonora Community Contra Dance will be held at the Aronos Club in Sonora. Dancing will include Contra and traditional square dancing as well as Irish Ceili Dancing in the Oldtime Country Barn Dance tradition. The music and dancing will start at 7:30pm there will be a Potluck at 6:30 for those who would like to come early. Further details are available in the event listing.

The Mother Lode Storytelling Guild invites the public to attend a 30-minute storytelling performance by nationally recognized storyteller Cynthia Restivo. The event starts at 4:00 on Saturday in Angels Camp. A workshop will be offered afterwards for more information view the event listing.

The Buck Stop Gun Show will be held at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, details are here.

The High Country Sports Arena is hosting two games of Roller Derby on Saturday. Doors open at 4:00pm. Seating is first come first served, you can bring your own folding chairs to ensure you have a place to sit. For tickets view the event listing.

The Love the Forest Concert begins at 7:00pm at the Black Bart Theater in Murphys. The money raised will go to fund Ebbetts Pass Forest Watch activities which protect, promote, and restore healthy forests and watersheds in the Sierra Nevada. For ticket information view the event listing.

Presidents Wine Weekend is held both Saturday and Sunday at Ironstone. More details are here.
