Colusa County, CA -- Governor Jerry Brown is venturing into potentially hostile territory. Yesterday he pitched his $14 billion tunneling project below the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to Northern California Farmers. The governor spoke during the annual breakfast of the Colusa Farm Show, one of the biggest such events on the West Coast.

He admitted that many people north of the state capital have a different political philosophy than he does. He even noted that he has never won Colusa County in any of his statewide races, but he promised he would protect their water.

After his speech, several farmers were skeptical of the tunnel project saying they feared it would siphon more Northern California water to farms and cities to the south.
