Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 12

Valley Springs, CA --There is a semi-truck overturned near the intersection of Double Springs Road and Highway 12 near Valley Springs. The CHP is on scene and emergency crews are on the way.
The highway is temporarily closed and they are diverting traffic to lower Double Springs Road. Motorists will want to use caution in the area and be prepared for a delay. We will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

Update 1:30 p.m.: The CHP reports one lane is now open and officers are directing traffic.
Update 2:10p.m.: Driver was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center, Passenger was taken to Doctors Medical Center. No word on how bad their condition is.
Update 2:20p.m.: There is a report of a second accident caused by or related to the traffic from this collision.
Update 3:20p.m.: The second accident has been cleared as well as the first all lanes are open.
