Frogs And Cowboy Boots?

Angels Camp, CA -- The pair makes up the new 2013 Calaveras County Fair logo. The logo features cowboy boots with a frog sitting in one of the boots and can be seen to the left. Owner of Black Diamond Graphics and graphic artist Michael Bowsher of West Point designed the logo.
Fair General Manager Laurie Giannini says, "We were looking for something that still spoke to the frog, because that's who we are, but maybe something a bit more edgy. It's a departure from what we've done in the past but we think it's going to be great on t-shirts and other items we sell. We are really excited about it"
Also, the fair board picked the new slogan from 40 entries. It is "Country Roots and Cowboy Boots" and was submitted by college student Taylor Mossa.
Giannina says, "The feedback I'm getting from the community has been very positive on both the logo and slogan."
The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee runs May 16 through 19.
