Speed Freak Search Continues

Linden, CA -- The FBI is once again searching for human remains in a well near Linden.
It involves the investigation of convicted murderers Loren Herzogg and Wesley Shermantine, known as the "Speed Freak Killers." Officials say they went on a meth-fueled killing spree in the 1980's and 90's, and may be responsible for the deaths of up to 19 people. Remains were also found last year outside the longtime Shermantine family property in San Andreas. The Associated Press reports that a team of forensic experts and anthropologists will spend the next few weeks near the well in Linden, hoping to dig up any remains.
It is unknown if the FBI will conduct any additional searches in Calaveras County.
