Sonora Woman Killed In Crash

Oakdale, CA - The CHP reports a 24-year-old Sonora woman died in a head on crash near Oakdale. The fatal accident happened around 6:36 this morning on Orange Blossom Road near Horseshoe Road.
The CHP is not releasing the woman's name, but say she was driving north on Orange Blossom when for unknown reasons she allowed her 1999 Honda to cross the center line into oncoming traffic smashing into a Toyota Tacoma truck. The truck driver, a 40 year old man from Riverbank, told officers he tried to swerve over to the shoulder, but could not avoid the accident. The man in the truck suffered minor injuries and was wearing his seatbelt. The CHP says the woman was not wearing her seatbelt.
The crash is still under investigation.
