Fugitive Arrested In Calaveras County
Murphys, CA -- The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office says an argument has led to the arrest of 25 year old Jimmy Blake Terry. Terry was recently in the news after being shot in the stomach by his Uncle. While recovering from his gunshot wound, he walked away from a Modesto Hospital and has been wanted for a parole violation.
Sheriff's officials say just after midnight on Thursday a deputy stopped at the Chevron Gas station and while inside the store, the deputy overheard a man yelling and threatening the clerk. The deputy intervened and asked the man for his identification which led to the arrest of Terry. Sheriff's Officials say Terry was taken into custody without incident.
Jimmy Terry was shot by his uncle, 36-year-old Robert Terry, during a dispute in Arnold on October 14th. Robert Terry told officials that he was acting in self defense, and Jimmy was upset about Robert "ratting him out" regarding some thefts in the community. No charges were ever filed against Robert in connection to the shooting.
